MY Philosophy

Over 20 years focused solely on this task has made me both an expert and a professional resource among experts in the field. I present at conferences on the changing landscape of the college process, and on a variety of specific topics. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you, and tailoring your college plan to maximize your potential for success.  

I believe strongly that the quality of counsel comes only from the quality of the relationship built between the client and counselor, the student and counselor, and the counselor and her institutional and professional contacts. That relational focus is at the heart of every interaction.

Access has become a highly loaded term. At its heart though, is the acknowledgment that people are best served when they have access to an advocate at every step in the process. The Independent Counselor model has provided an opportunity for families to ethically obtain access to the time and counsel that everyone deserves, but many parents began to feel bad about requesting.
